Children's Growth Group
CHILDREN 2nd – 5th Sundays @ 9:15 a.m. in the Youth Room: Children’s (K – 5th graders) Sunday School Growth Grouping worships together in community on the first Sunday of every month. 2nd – 5th Sundays our parent volunteer teaching teams follow Cokesbury’s Deep Blue One Room Sunday School Kit Year 1. Sunday School
Sunday School was previously on hiatus due to the COVID pandemic. We regrouped with our Sunday School Growth Group offering January 2021 and met through the beginning of June, during the 10 a.m. worship service virtually and in person. This fall the children's Growth Group (Kindergarten - 6th graders) will meet Sunday mornings during the first service that starts at 9 a.m.. Just after the children's moment that takes place during this contemporary worship service, we will head down to the fellowship hall in the church basement for our one room schoolhouse that includes a Sunday School lesson and activity. Once the worship service has concluded (roughly 10 a.m.), grown ups can pick up their children down in the fellowship hall.
Nursery
Nursery care has been temporarily cancelled due to COVID. Stay tuned here for updates as to when it again becomes safely available for toddlers age birth through Pre-Kindergarten
Bible Buddies
Tradition provides for children in 3rd grade to receive an Adventure Bible from BFUMC. This past year every regularly attending Sunday School Growth Group child received their bible during our Camping Sunday service as a celebratory milestone achievement, for showing up during the pandemic. This fall, all 3rd graders, and anyone older who hasn't yet had the opportunity, will be able to learn more about using their bible by attending our Bible Buddies group between services from 10 - 10:30 a.m. in the Artley Room. Hopefully we also have an adult from an older generation volunteering to partner up with each child as a Bible Buddy to explore the word together.
